This project started off with the assumption that Holly Springs numerous vacant urban lots could be combined and subdivided into narrow single-family lots. The current the zoning code requires a minimum lot width of 40’ with 5’ setbacks on each side. To improve the density of the neighborhood district we proposed single family lots between 25-30’ wide. We developed prototypical home plans between 15-20’ wide to prove that comfortable homes could be built on smaller urban lots. The following images were developed to show the character of the homes along with parking and scale of the neighborhood.
